ALL CANADIAN HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE
I don't know about you but when the holidays roll around I'm usually at a loss for gift ideas! I rely on gift guides to help brainstorm Christmas gift ideas. My family is made up of many unique personalities and I deplore generic gifts. I know I'm not the only one in this position which is why I've created my All Canadian Holiday Gift Guide to share my ideas and help you give the perfect gift. And all the gifts are from local Canadian businesses! Now more than ever it is incredibly important to support local Canadian businesses and you'll be surprised to learn all the cool things that are made right here at home.
You'll find the gift ideas categorized by personality: for the chef, for the coffee lover, for the fashionista, for the outdoorsman, for the redecorator and the self-care pro. I hope this helps you find what you are looking for!

Cooking Gift Ideas
When the chef goes to all the trouble of cooking a delicious meal, they want it to present as good as it will taste. That’s where the complete serving set from Muraï Céramique comes in. This beautiful set (available in Starry Night or Multi-coloured which features all of her signature glazes) is handmade stoneware and includes a large serving platter, 2 dip bowls and 4 serving plates. Now that we have the presentation down, let’s focus on ingredients. Give the cook in your life the gift of quality, Canadian ingredients. Pixie Chick Spices from Victoria, BC offers unique, delectable blends of spices and Smak Dab Mustard from rural Manitoba is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten (I’m talking about the Hot Honey Jalapeno specifically). A family-run operation they use 100% Canadian mustard seeds. Now that my mouth is watering, let me tell you about Just Simply Wood. Thomas handcrafts luxury kitchen tools, serving boards and sets from sustainably sourced Canadian wood. Each piece is a work of art and the perfect gift for any cook.

Coffee Gift Ideas
If you are looking for the perfect gift for the coffee lover, caffeine addict, “but first coffee” quoter then I would definitely start with a handmade pottery mug like the ones pictured from Olena Ceramics. A really cute gift would be the pottery mug filled with other coffee goodies! A big favourite of mine are the Luxury Mocha Latte Hot Chocolate Bombs from Brew Balls Co. These hot chocolate bombs (available in different flavours & strengths) feature a delicious shot of coffee or espresso hidden within. Another great gift for the coffee lover in your life is a reusable, cloth coffee filter from Pinyon Products. Made in White Rock ,BC these reusable filters are made from hemp and organic cotton and will last through hundreds of uses. Last but not least, your coffee gift wouldn’t be complete without a bag of delicious beans! Mugging Whales Premium Coffee from Winnipeg, Manitoba is a favourite local roaster with an incredibly charming backstory behind their name – you gotta check them out!

Canadian Fashion Gift Ideas
For the stylish, the vogue, the fashionista in your life! What do you get her when she already has it all? Well, we have some amazing, unique, Canadian fashion brands for you that she may not have discovered yet! Our top recommendation is handmade porcelain jewellery from Santoline Atelier De Porcelaine. Her pieces are delicate, lightweight and made from the highest quality materials. Nothing would compliment her new jewellery better than a new leather purse from Atelier Eli. These purses are handcrafted to order by the designer herself. If you really want to spoil here, give her the gift of a Berg+Betts watch. Canadian designed, sustainably sourced and ethically made, you can’t go wrong with of these watches. If you want her to stay stylish and warm this winter than I recommend a handknitted toque from Back 40 Designs. With knitwear for the whole family maybe you’ll knock a few more gifts off your list!

Camping & Fishing Gift Ideas
Shopping for the outdoorsy person in your life? Whether they are a camper or cottager, fisherman or birdwatcher, we have a gift for them! Pottery by Lucy offers an extensive collection of nature-inspired pottery. Realistic birch bark designs feature intricate 3D birds poking out of a knothole and platters of Northern Pike or Largemouth Bass might make you do a double take they are so realistic. If you’re looking to catch a real fish to serve on that platter, check out the Canadian crafted lures from Best Lure Co. You might want to also gift them a Made For The Lake toque to keep them warm while they wait for the fish to bite. Last but not least we recommend Sherpa lined flannel shirts from Rocky Mountain Flannel Company. Classic Canadiana styles are available in Mens, Womens and Kids so the whole family can match around the campfire.

Home Decor Gift Ideas
Is there someone in your life who is always moving the furniture around and sending you pics of their Homesense haul? Then these gifts are perfect for the constant redecorator in your life. First let’s focus on the kitchen. Help them refresh their kitchen counters with a gorgeous, intricate garlic keeper from Sandra Zuidema of aSpire Pottery. Hand-pierced in Hamilton, Ontario this garlic keeper is a beautiful addition to any kitchen. Compliment the garlic keeper with new tea towels from Havyn Love. Hand-made and hand-printed in Toronto, Ontario these organic cotton towels come in many beautiful patterns. If they just redecorated their kitchen, then turn your sights to the living room and gift a set of wood coasters from Silent Forest Designs. Available in many nature-inspired scenes, these coasters feature free handed designs burned into wood salvaged from forests on Vancouver Island. Next, add a scented candle to your Christmas gift (perfect for any room in the house)! I recommend Alpine Ember Co – nothing beats the scents of their coconut soy candles and the crackle of the wooden wick will give you serious yule log vibes.

Self Care Gift Ideas
These gift ideas are perfect for the person in your life who knows exactly how to practice self-care. A beautiful teapot + mug set from Luloba Ceramics will deliver that perfect cup of tea to mindfully sip on – preferably after a calming yoga practice. Give the gift of a comfortable, 100% cork yoga mat with a playful design from Scoria World. Help them help themselves with a soothing serum from Aurum Skincare which includes nutrient rich birch water harvested from the forests of the Yukon. The pinnacle of self-care (in my world at least) is a relaxing soak in the tub. A Christmas gift set from Tub Loves will set them up with everything they need.
