Having dabbled in many different kinds of fine art, Lori began playing around with the pottery wheel after hours while working at an art studio. The small hobby quickly became a passion and she began setting up her own home studio just north of Airdrie, Alberta.

She is a primarily self-taught potter, who thoroughly enjoys teaching the craft to beginner students as well. Her designs reflect nature, drawing from her prairie and western Canadian roots. The wax resist technique she often uses shows off the bare clay, combining its earthy look with the silky glaze on top.
